Aniruddha Sharma: CEO & Co-Founder
An engineer by practice, the company’s' chief executive officer, Aniruddha Sharma is responsible for all day-to-day operations and leads the company's product and customer development strategy. While pursuing his Masters Degree in Statistics at the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, Aniruddha co-founded Carbon Clean Solutions in the year 2009.
Selected as one of the Top 50 Brightest Young Climate Leaders, he was a part of the youth delegation to COP15 and COP/MOP5 (Kyoto Protocol), held in Copenhagen, Denmark, in the fall of 2009 (December 7th to 18th). He has also been selected as one of the top 27 entrepreneurs working on accelerated commercialization of Technology & Innovation by Accelerator India. Currently working towards tying partnerships for ‘Carbon capture and reuse/sequestration’, he was invited to the esteemed World Economic Forum’s India summit in 2011.
Aniruddha works closely on all policy issues related to CCS and also looks into hiring talent for the company.
Prateek Bumb: CTO & Co-Founder
With a Master's of Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, Prateek Bumb is the Chief Technical Officer of Carbon Clean Solutions. He co-founded the company in 2009 and is responsible for technology development with the main focus on innovation and research. He is particularly responsible for all expanding Research & Development activities in the company.
Having gained a strong work experience across industries in India, Italy and France, Prateek is distinctively the soul behind the company’s lab operations and setting up a full fledged bench scale demo plant for testing the technology. To date, he has filed international patents on CO2
capture process and solvents and published papers in several international conferences and journals on carbon capture and storage technology.
Prateek specializes in various simulation softwares for optimized carbon capture process models and is currently leading the company’s efforts for expansion and reuse of captured CO2
Dr.Martin Haemmig: Director
Adj.Prof. Dr. Martin Haemmig specializes as international innovation & commercialization researcher, lecturer and advisor on "The Globalization of Venture Capital". He researches and/or teaches in leading schools, like Stanford University, University of California, INSEAD, ETH Zurich, Peking, Renmin & Tsinghua university, as well as IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay. Dr. Haemmig is an industry expert and advisor to various institutions, including the WEF (World Economic Forum) on venture capital, entrepreneurship and startups companies, the Swiss VC/PE Association (SECA). He is the former 'Senior Advisor on Venture Capital' to Stanford University--SPRIE and at China's largest Science Park "ZhongGuanCun" in Beijing. Dr. Haemmig holds a Doctoral degree, Master of Business Administration from California, and a Bachelor degree in electrical engineering from Switzerland. Dr. Haemmig worked for almost 20 years in global high-tech companies in Asia, Europe and USA, before returning to his academic career. He became Swiss national champion in marketing in 1994.
Mr Suresh Prabhala is an experienced financial services professional and has held a number of roles both on the sell side and the buy side over the past 15 years. Most recently, Suresh was the Managing Director and Head of India for Mount Kellett Capital Management, a US$ 7 Billion global alternative investment fund. Prior to Mount Kellett, Suresh was with JP Morgan with his last position as Executive Director and Head of India for JP Morgan's Principal Investments business in India. Prior to JPMorgan, Suresh was part of the founding team of a boutique sell side advisory firm in Bangalore, India and previously was part of Arthur Andersen’s corporate finance practice and CRISIL – S&P’s Indian affiliate.
At an personal level, Suresh makes seed and angel investments selectively and has backed a few young entrepreneurs in India across sectors. Suresh has an MBA from IIM Calcutta, and was trained as a mechanical engineer at the Delhi College of Engineering, Delhi University. Suresh is based in Mumbai.
Palaniswamy 'Raj' Rajan : Director
Palaniswamy "Raj" Rajan is currently the co-founder, Chairman & CEO of Virima Technologies, Inc., an IT Operations and Datacenter software developer serving the fortune 500 companies. He brings more than 15 years experience in the technology industry and combines a deep understanding of current technologies with the ability to articulate the application of these technologies in various business contexts and models. He has co-founded several ventures including, Vigilar, Inc, eLaunchpad LLC and Resourcis. Mr. Rajan serves on the Board of Directors of the above companies and as well on the advisory boards of several early stage technology firms around the country. Mr. Rajan was instrumental in establishing the Atlanta CEO Council, and currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mr. Rajan also co-founded and serves on the Board of Directors of the Atlanta Chapter of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TIE). Mr. Rajan was also honored as Georgia Trend's "40 Under 40" Rising Stars in 2000
